Update 08/02/09 – 5:05 p.m.
You just can’t count Tiger Woods out.  He finished the 1st round tied for 95th to winning the Buick Open. Tiger shot a 69 today and won Buick by 3 and a final score card of -20.  This was his 3rd Buick title.
The Flintstones the name given to the fans, may have seen their final Buick Open at Warick Hills Golf & Country Club in Blanc, MI.  It isn’t determined if the event will return after 51 years. Tiger and other players showed their appreciation by throwing balls to the fans. Tiger toss one at 17th and 18th as he departed.Â
Will Tiger continue where he left off this weekend? We’ll see next weekend when he competes at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio.
Updated 08/01/09 – 5:10 p.m. Tiger continued where he left off yesterday. He shot a 65 today. When Tiger stepped of the course today, he was 1 behind the leader Michael Letzig. Letzig had 1 hole to go but he ran into trouble on 18th and finished the day at -16.  Tiger said that he played the 1st 9 pretty good but he played the back 9 “pretty loose”.   When asked what was his plan for tomorrow, he said, “I’m heading to the practice tee as soon as I finish talking with you.” Yesterdays leader Senden finished at -15.
07-31-09 Wow…Tiger Shot A 63… He’s In The Hunt. Tiger was on it today as he recovered from his 71 score card yesterday, by shooting a 63 day. Tiger said he was “HOT” yesterday, so he came with it today.Â
He’s now 10 under and tied for 5th, Senden tops the leaderboard at -14. Tiger ended his day with 8 birdies and 1 eagle.
