Sources are saying that Mike Shanahan will be named the new head coach of the Redskins, and that they have also fulfilled their interviewing agreement with the NFL, by formally interviewing an african american prior to making a formal hire in this on going coaching drama. Jim Zorn never took control of the team, didn’t utilize his assets, as it applies to the talent he has on the roster. The young quarterback needed guidance, that is what Zorn was suppose to accomplish as a former quarterback in the NFL, not a great athlete, but he started fro the Seattle Seahawks during his time in the NFL. It appears that he couldn’t get the ball club on the right track mentally, and it will cost him his job, and probably another opportunity at a head coaching position.
Mike Shanahan will come in and turn this thing around immediately. He’s a great coach, has a track record in the NFL that is impeccable, and Snyder (the owner) will give up the big bucks to get him on board. Look for the Skins to be in the mix next year, that’s a promise if Shanahan is the next head coach.
