Cristiano Ronaldo, the Real Madrid winger, and Lionel Messi, the Barcelona forward,  appears to be he  favorites on the 23 player’s  most noted list to be nominated for the FIFA’S player of the year award. The Zurich associated Press states that these two gentlemen are among six other notable contenders for this award. They include: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Andres Iniesta, Theirry Henry, Carlos Puyol, Xaxi Hernandez, and Samuel Ito’o, the Champion’s League Title Winner with Barcelona, prior to leaving for Inter Milan.
Manchester United, the Champions League runner-up is represented by Wayne Rooney.
Zurich has scheduled the awards ceremony for December 21th.
