Mariano Rivera has done the job all year for the New York Yankees, and last night was simply masterful. Mr. Rivera, “Mr. Automatic”, has repositioned the Yankees in the World Series, by tying the series at 1-1 going into Philly territory. Mark Teixeira, and Hideki Matsui, came out of their slump to produce much needed hits and as a result, secured two important RBI’S that enabled the Yankees to move forward with their quest to recapture the title of the greatest baseball franchise to ever exist. Yes, Mr. Steinbrenner has done a great job with his calculated aquisitions over the years, but it’s been a while since the Yankees have been on top of the World, as in, winning the World Series.

Oh, last but not least, it was a very satisfying win,  as the Yankees beat” Mr. Pedro Martinez”, their former #1 enemy from the Boston Red Sox. He was still brutal, and I don’t think they want to see him again. Will Philly rebound at Home? Will Ryan Howard bring on the wood, and loose a couple over the wall? Or will the Yankees prevail, and take the wind out of the Phillies?

The World Series is On, Baby, be ready for a break out game from both sides of the plate. Howard will launch, and A-Rod will bring on the Heat.
