A U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, D. Michael Lynn, has rejected a plan to stop the plans of the auction. The Greenburg-Ryan group attempted to offer more, $575,000,000.00, a $40,000,000.00 increase of it’s original offer, but that did not sway the plans to hold the auction on next week. Mark Cuban, and another bidder plans to pursue the Texas Rangers Ownership next week with bids, based on information coming from Mark Cuban’s attorney.
With the Texas Rangers holding an 8 game lead in their division, it appears that more interest in the teams owneship is imminent. The Texas Rangers have performed despite the media coverage of this fiasco, and the MLB should get this opportunity taken care of ASAP.
