Clausen was rated as a no.1 pick on all the boards, but wasn’t the athlete that most pre-draft football clubs war rooms felt should be taken in the 1st round. The Panthers are stating that Jimmy Clausen will be competing for the starting QB job for the 2010 season.
Will Colt McCoy make it in the 2nd round? Who will take the chance? Word has it that McCoy’s arm strength is suspect, his height, at 6’1″, with a slow release, has been a drawback going forward,  and teams are concerned with his foot movement in the pocket at the NFL level.
