The creative team, orchestrated by Executive Director; David Ricks, fosters Cam’s diverse storytelling interest and brings them to life. Iconic also administers full production capabilities to clients and brands worldwide. Works ranging from: non-scripted, scripted , children’s programming, animation and more have been created or are currently in development. Iconic Saga is also widely recognized for creating an award winning channel on YouTube. Mission Statement
The Cam Newton Foundation is committed to enhancing the lives of young people by addressing their socioeconomic, educational, physical and emotional needs. The overarching CNFtheme is “Every 1 Matters.” Through specific focus areas (“Every 1 Gives”, “Every 1 Learns”, and “Every 1 Plays”), the Foundation focuses on the need for community programs and underscores the importance of making education a priority. The Cam Newton Foundation also recognizes physical fitness and health as a vital element in comprehensive youth development and its relationship to leading a well-rounded and fulfilling life.
Description
By establishing and strengthening relationships within communities, the Foundation creates and supports strategic programs and events that align with these goals. Due to Cam’s close associations with the Charlotte and Atlanta markets, the Foundation looks to support initiatives in these geographical areas. The Foundation will build on support from corporate partners, fans, volunteers, staff, and fundraising events to help carry out CNF’s mission.

Cam Newton hosts ‘Sip ‘n Smoke’
BET announced the launch of a new weekly talk show hosted by Newton called “Sip N’ Smoke,” an eight-episode original series where he’ll talk with several notable Atlanta figures, including Steve Harvey, 2 Chainz and Teyana Taylor. They’ll talk all things Atlanta and Black culture, hitting on some of Newton’s areas of expertise, like food, art, cigars, business and much more.
“In order for me to impact and empower my community, I need to be me,” Newton says in the trailer. “They can be able to relate to it and say, ‘man, Cam came out of these streets, I can come out of these streets.’ “
“As a sports figure, I don’t always get to shed layers and give people a glimpse of off-the-field Cam, so it’s cool to join the BET Digital family and host Sip N’ Smoke,” Newton said as a part of the series’ press release. “This series gives me the opportunity to put on for ATL, celebrate some of the people and things that inspire me and to create with my production company Iconic Saga.”
If Newton’s appearances on other podcasts, such as “I Am Athlete” and “Serendipity with Inky Johnson” — as well as his many appearances on Audacy affiliate WEEI throughout the 2020 season — are any indication, we’re in for a fun ride with a ton of entertaining banter and important, inspirational discussion.

Cameron Jerrell Newton (born May 11, 1989) is an American football quarterback who is a free agent. He played his first nine seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Carolina Panthers, who selected him first overall in the 2011 NFL Draft. Newton had college football stints at Florida and Blinn before joining Auburn, where he won the Bowl Champion Series National Championship and Heisman Trophy in 2010. Nicknamed “Super Cam”, he is the NFL career leader in quarterback rushing touchdowns at 70.
Newton made an impact in his first season where he set the rookie records for passing (4,051) and rushing yards (706) by a quarterback, winning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in the process. The league’s first rookie quarterback to throw for 4,000 yards in a season and the first to throw for 400 yards in his NFL debut, he also set the season record for quarterback rushing touchdowns at 14. Between 2013 and 2017, Newton led the Panthers to three division titles and four playoff appearances. His most successful season came in 2015 when he was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) and helped Carolina obtain a franchise-best 15–1 record en route to a Super Bowl appearance in Super Bowl 50. He is one of four African-American quarterbacks to win NFL MVP and was the first to solely receive it.
