The season has ended, TCU has lost and will go back to the blackboard, while Boise St. waits to see if they will be considered to be the #2 team at the end of the bowl process. All indications pointed to a TCU victory until the final whistle was blown last night. Boise St. took advantage of a southwest powerhouse and it’s nervous energy with mutiple mistakes early in the stages of the game. TCU could not put together a drive, due to many unexcused mistakes with several penalties being committed in the early part of the contest. Boise St. was positioned, and took advantage of all of the opportunities that were allowed as a result of TCU’s ability to settle down and get their game plan to be successful. The fake punt was the back breaker for the contest, and TCU failed to execute when the opportunities were available. It was a great play for Boise St. and a bad break for TCU, with that said, Boise St. prevailed and will wind up being the team that stopped the TCU parade to glory.
Note: It should definitely put Boise St. and TCU in contention to be ranked with the best of the best on next years polls. Both teams have demonstrated that they belong in the top of the pack with the power players in the BCS considerations, going forward.
