SERENA WILLIAMS WAS SEEN STRETCHING IN THE TUNNEL PRIOR TO THE\u00a0 SEMI-FINAL MATCH, AND ONE OF THE GREAT TENNIS ENTHUSIASTS OF THE MODERN ERA,\u00a0 STATED THAT SERENA WAS VISIBLY\u00a0 TROUBLED, AND NOT QUITE HERSELF PRIOR TO THE TENNIS GREAT APPROACHING THE COURT FOR TONIGHTS QUARTERFINALS TENNIS CONTEST. SERENA WAS ABLE TO PUT AWAY SLOANE IN THE FIRST SET AFTER WINNING IN A 6-3 GAME RESULT, WHICH IN ITSELF, \u00a0WAS NOT THE NORMAL RESULT OF A TYPICAL SERENA WILLIAMS RESULT AGAINST ANYBODY. SERENA WAS SERVERELY\u00a0 REINJURED IN THE SECOND SET, MOST BELIEVING THAT SHE WOULD RETIRE, BUT SHE WAS ABLE TO FINISH THE SET WITH A 7-5 DEFICIT SHORTFALL. AFTER THE BREAK, SHE GAVE THE MOST TREMENDOUS EFFORT THAT HAS BEEN WITNESSED ON THE AUSTRALIAN COURT SINCE IT&#8217;S BEGINNING SEVERAL YEARS AGO.
