SLOAN HAS BEEN ONE OF THE MOST CELEBRATED WINNERS OF THE NBA DURING HIS OUTSTANDING CAREER AS THE HEAD COACH OF THE UTAH JAZZ. HE HAS BEEN THE ENGINE THAT IGNITED SO MANY\u00a0 WESTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCES, 6 TO BE CORRECT, AND SHOULD BE APPLAUDED FOR HIS DEDICATED EFFORT IN THE ATTEMPT TO BRING A TITLE TO THE GREAT\u00a0STATE OF UTAH.\u00a0 DURING HIS CAREER AS THE HEAD COACH OF THE UTAH\u00a0 JAZZ, SLOAN HAD\u00a0THE 3RD WINNINGEST \u00a0RECORD OF OF ALL NBA COACHES WITH,\u00a0\u00a01221 WINS AND 803 LOSES.\u00a0 JERRY SLOAN WAS INDUCTED INTO THE HALL OF FAME.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>GERALD EUGENE &#8220;JERRY&#8221; SLOAN WAS ALSO A GREAT DEFENSIVE PLAYER\u00a0IN HIS OWN RIGHT IN THE NBA, PLAYING FOR THE\u00a0 BALTIMORE BULLETS (1965-1966), AND CONCLUDING HIS CAREER WITH THE GREAT CHICAGO BULLS TEAM (1966-1976).\u00a0\u00a0AS A NBA PLAYER DURING HIS TWELVE YEAR CAREER, HE ACHIEVED: 2 TIME\u00a0 ALL STAR, (1967) (1969), WAS ALSO NAMED TO THE\u00a0 ALL NBA DEFENSIVE TEAM ON 4 OCCASSIONS, (1969) (1972) (1974) (1975), AND ALSO WAS A SECOND TEAM ALL DEFENSIVE ALLSTAR IN 1970, 1971.
