<\/cite>Gymnastics star and world champion Simone Biles took home her record seventh national women’s all-around title<\/a> at the US Gymnastics Championships in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Biles, who is expected to be the linchpin of the USA Women’s Gymnastics team for this summer’s Tokyo Olympics, won with a score of 119.650 which was 4.7 points ahead of runner-up Sunisa Lee.<\/strong><\/div>\n

Biles’ teammate Jordan Chiles finished third with a score of 114.450.<\/strong><\/div>\n
“I feel like I did try to enjoy it because it could be one of my last championships that I’ll attend,” Biles said<\/a>. “But it’s also the road to Tokyo, and after this we have trials, so we just have to really embrace the moment.”<\/strong><\/div>\n
Biles’ seven titles are the most by any American woman.<\/strong><\/div>\n

Though the 24-year-old could win competitions without inventing new skills, she often pushes herself harder with mind-boggling tricks the world has never seen before. She has debuted so many daredevil tricks, she now has four skills officially named after her.<\/strong><\/div>\n
After the 2020 Olympics were postponed due to the pandemic, Biles trained harder<\/a> and tested more skills, such as a double-layout, double-tuck.<\/strong><\/div>\n
The US Olympic team trials will be held June 24-27 in St. Louis. The Tokyo Olympics are set to begin in late July, barring further postponement or cancellation.<\/strong><\/div>\n
“I feel like every single championship stands out for a different reason, but this one stands out specifically because it’s the road to Tokyo,” Biles said<\/a>. “We came out here, and we did what we were supposed to.”<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Biles won her seventh all-around U.S. Gymnastics Championships title on Sunday with an overall score of 119.950, which gives her the most wins at the event by any woman in American history.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Biles surpassed Clara Schroth Lomady\u2019s previous record of six titles with her win. She\u2019s now tied with Alfred Jochim for the most by any American, man or woman, and has won every title but once since she first entered back in 2013.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She beat runner-up Sunisa Lee by nearly five full points. Jordan Chiles came in third just 0.500 points back from Lee. Emma Malabuyo and Leanne Wong rounded out the top five.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really emotional, especially going into my second time doing an Olympic run,\u201d she said on NBC. \u201cIt\u2019s really crazy.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

Biles held the top scores in the vault, balance beam and floor exercise throughout the event, and took third in the uneven bars.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old is clearly gearing up for the Olympics, too, as her floor routine was set to a song from \u201cFast and Furious: Tokyo Drift\u201d \u2014 which included an incredible \u201cnever-been-done-before\u201d move dubbed \u201cThe Biles.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
