Runaway leader Hamilton is also set to equal Schumacher\u2019s record seven championships this season.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI still feel physically strong but you still wonder when is it going to tip over and (you) lose performance,\u201d Hamilton said after his victory in Portugal. \u201cBut showing by today it\u2019s not yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His 71 wins with Mercedes have come from just 173 races, a stunning win ratio of 41%, while his 92 wins from 262 starts (about 35%) edges him ahead of Schumacher&#8217;s 91 in 306 (30%).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><strong>But direct comparisons between the two are difficult since they raced in different eras, save for an overlapping period of three seasons when Schumacher was driving an uncompetitive Mercedes.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-61 Component-p-0-2-52\"><strong>Who has the edge in terms of single-lap speed is hard to judge.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-61 Component-p-0-2-52\"><strong>Some of Hamilton\u2019s poles have been among the best ever in F1. Particularly the display at the <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/e138039f19c54617922f409a89a63da7\">Singapore GP two years ago<\/a> and the mesmerizing control at a rain-drenched qualifying for the <a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/4bad4b703c3ef60537fdcc9e766fa1e6\">Styrian GP in July<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-61 Component-p-0-2-52\"><strong>However, Hamilton\u2019s best season ratio of 11 wins from 19 races falls below Schumacher\u2019s masterful 13 from 18 \u2014 a staggering 72% win ratio \u2014 during his last title with Ferrari in 2004. Schumacher\u2019s 10 fastest laps in 2004 beats Hamilton\u2019s eight in 2015, as does his overall total of 77-52.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-61 Component-p-0-2-52\"><strong>Hamilton made his F1 debut in 2007 with McLaren aged 22.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-61 Component-p-0-2-52\"><strong>Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen won the title that year by one point from Hamilton, who began with nine straight podiums and a first victory in Canada after clinching a first pole.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Component-root-0-2-61 Component-p-0-2-52\"><strong>McLaren sent Hamilton a tweet on Sunday featuring a bottle of Champagne and the words \u201cYou never forget your first.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THIS IS MR.
