That\u2019s it.\u201d &#8220;The win moves Central to 2-0 in District 22-5A, tied in first place with Ozen, who defeated Port Neches-Groves 75-57 on Tuesday.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span class=\"s1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jordannmichael_\"><em> Jordan Senigau<\/em>r<\/a> finished with a team-high 16 points while <\/span>Jaylon Williams added 15 for the Jaguars. Central overcame a slow shooting start in the first half that saw the offense hit only eight jump shots and trail 23-20 at halftime. Behind nine points from Williams, the Jaguars outscored Memorial 24-13 in the third quarter, finishing the quarter on a 12-3 run to take a 44-35 lead. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Titans clawed their way back into the game in the fourth quarter, cutting the score to 57-55 after a layup from Thailan Wesley. Central kept a slim lead throughout the fourth quarter, but led by only two after Williams hit one of two free throws with 16 seconds left in the game. Chatman, who scored all of his team-high 16 points in the second half, attempted to tie the game but had the ball stolen by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jordannmichael_\">Jordan Senigaur<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In his return from a knee injury, Central&#8217;s Jakobe Dill finished with 13 points, including 10 in the second half. Byron Arceneaux added 10 for the Jaguars while Jomard Valsin added nine for the Titans. <span class=\"s1\">Off a 5-second inbound violation against Central, Thailan Wesley tipped in a shot to<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>pull Memorial within 61-60. After two Senigaur free throws, Jomard Valsin putback and airballed three-point shot and Central\u2019s Jaylon Williams made 1 of 2 from the line to make it a 62-60 game. <\/span><span class=\"s1\">\u201cIt was a chess match. You had to keep each other guessing,\u201d Central coach Franklin Paul said. \u201cThey did a good job. They were well coached and well disciplined. My hats go off to them. I\u2019ve been knowing coach Coleman for a long time.
