Kobe and the Lakers received their championship rings, prior to the tip off of their first game of the year. Several former players were their to represent the past several championship years. The banner for the 2009 championship was raised, and the fans went wild. To cap off the night, The Lakers won their first game, 99-92. Also, Ron Artest, the newly acquired Laker, had a tremendous offensive and defensive outing. It appears that the Lakers made a good decision in bring Artest to their team. It should solidify a repeat for them, it appears.
